The Catalac 900 is a major rework of the twenty year old Catalac 9M design, with a fully enclosed cabin with standing headroom, and sleeker and more modern looks. The boat features other refinements such as two helms, one enclosed, hot and cold running water as standard and the fitting of twin diesels with saildrive transmissions.

She has her Galley down in the port hull. A cabin starboard forward with a double berth, and another forward in the Port hull with 2 single berths. The partition between these two forward cabins can be removed to create a spacious cabin with a 2m square double bed. Yet another double cabin port aft, and of course the saloon table converts to a large bed. She features a large cockpit which is where a cruiser does his lounging in the tropics. Overall, this is an amazing use of space in a pocket cruiser.

The Catalac 900 is a delight to sail, and she is very easy to single hand. I have spent 6 months each summer for the past seven years sailing Minuet around the European coastline of the Mediterranean sea, The Adriatic sea and the Atlantic coast of Spain and Portugal. A lot of miles and a lot of adventure. Much of the time I sailed single-handed.

After travelling along the Italian and French Riviera I had Minuet's mast dismounted and transported to Bordeaux from Frontignan in France and I continued along the DuMidi Canal. An experience to be recommended.

With the mast reinstated I sailed along the coastline of Spain and Portugal and over wintered near Gibraltar. This year (2016) I made my way from Gibraltar to Barcelona, Minuet is now moored at a marina in Tarragona, about one hour travel from Barcelona airport. There is a coach service that links Tarragona with the airport.

On the basis of my experience I can say without any qualification that Minuet is a sturdy, seaworthy, craft and has given me and many friends great pleasure. The ideal boat to live aboard. My age and its accompanying ailments suggests that I should give-up sailing especially single- handed and I regretfully offer my boat for sale.
