S/V "Barefoot" is a Florida based 1976 Catalac 9M SOLD!!

S/V "Barefoot" is a Florida based 1976 Catalac 9M for sale by owner. If you are looking for an exceedingly affordable catamaran with simple systems that is fun to sail, with an exceptional interior layout and a massive cockpit then look no further. The S/V "Barefoot" is an affordable and spacious catamaran which has been well cared for. The Catalac 9M is not only fun to sail, they are probably the safest cruising catamarans afloat. Catalacs with over 600 boats built, have never had a catamaran capsize.

For those who are not familiar with these boats, the Catalac 9M is a very comfortable pocket cruising catamaran which because of her draft it's possible to go into smaller and shallow lakes, coves and tropical islands. At sea this Catalac is at her best for sailing and is used for island hopping in the Florida Keys and Bahamas.

Full height hanging locker. Main Cabin has a double bed which is 4 ft 6 " wide, full length. U shape settee with fitted cushions, Locker underneath. Main cabin settee converts to double bed. Small table converts to a large table. 12 volt lighting thoughout. Boat fully equiped for live aboard requirements.

“Barefoot” was hauled out in March 2019, where a full service was performed on the Honda outboard motor (new filters – oil and fuel, new impeller, new thermostat, oil change, new spark plugs, complete engine coolant, oil and fuel system flush, new trim tab and cotter pins). Along with motor servicing, the bottom was inspected, with minor fiberglass repairs made to the rudders and motor well, then sanded and painted with West Marine ablative.

She has a WEN 2000 watt generator (New – March 2019), Garmin GPS 942XS chart plotter (New – March 2019), Jabsco head – (New – February 2019). Full ground tackle with extra anchors, chain & rode – Main anchor is a 35 lb West Marine with new chain, rode & shackle (March 2019) Manual windlass in good working condition.

This boat is in good shape and ready to cruise, ready for your additions and improvements. It is a small, easy to handle boat, yet delightful in appearance and comfort. If you have been looking for a Catalac, you owe it to yourself to take a look at this boat. It will not be on the market long. These boats are rarely sold and for good reason. She is a tough older boat that has many good years of cruising and sailing in her future.
