| “Caymanifique” is an ocean cruising catamaran built in Christchurch, England, by Tom Lack Catamarans Ltd. She is Sail # 12/24. “Caymanifique” was commissioned by me and launched in 1985. She is a production model with modifications I requested for cruising in the tropics. | ||

| “Caymanifique” was cruised extensively by my wife and myself from Christchurch to the Med via the Bay of Biscay and Gibraltar, as far east as Turkey. In 1989 my wife and I sailed her across the Atlantic to our home in Grand Cayman, the Cayman Islands, from where we cruised the North-West Caribbean for several years and as far north as Fort Lauderdale in Florida. We are currently cruising the Caribbean Island of Honduras. Email access is a bit spotty, please be patient for our email response. | ||

| Starboard Hull: Double forward cabin with hanging locker and a bureau. Between the cabin and the head/shower there is a dressing area with hanging locker, bureau, shelves and storage space. The head/shower has the usual facilities – a Baby Blake toilet with 24 US gallon holding tank (there is a Lavac waiting to be installed); wash-hand basin; shower with sump pump. Aft of this, the rear starboard cabin was fitted out at my request by Tom Lack Catamarans Ltd as a workshop. Later I fitted a 14000btu air-conditioning unit under my work bench, driven by shore power. There is a hanging locker and a bureau. |
Port Hull: Similar double forward cabin. Aft of this cabin is the galley, with double sink, hot and cold taps, sea water tap with foot pump, small fridge, four-burner stove top with oven underneath. Broiler. Work surface with plenty of cupboards. Aft again is a head with Baby Blake toilet and wash hand basin. The hot water heater for the basin and galley hot water tap is in the head. Underneath the aft port cabin berth is a Rich Beers fridge/freezer run from either shore power or from a compressor fitted on the port engine. There is a hanging locker and shelves. |
|
| The saloon has horseshoe-shaped banquette seating for 4 or more and
with a couple of extra seats can seat 8 comfortably. The octagonal table has 2 folding leaves.
Underneath the seating is commodious storage space. There is a navigating table with a drawer
which can store with large charts, complete with side drawers and storage space. There are fans in all cabins (the forward cabins have two) and two in the saloon. At the door is the inside steering position with all-round visibility, and a hanging locker for oilskins, etc. In the cockpit are numerous lockers, including gas bottle storage at the stern. The storage space is to be envied. |
