S/V Marjatta is a Spain based 2015 Lagoon 39 catamaran for sale by owner

S/V Marjatta is a 2015 (launched November 2015), Lagoon 39 Owners version Accommodation in 3 cabins plus 2 heads, with two guest cabins and one head in the port hull, and the starboard hull dedicated to an owner's suite.

This boat is a completely new design, with a significant change to the rig and sail plan moving aft, the Lagoon 39 features a tall high aspect ratio rig with full battened square top mainsail and self tacking Jib. Most importantly, the mast and center of buoyancy of the hulls are now much farther aft. The decision to locate the mast further to aft directly comes from the designers' racing experience.

This has many advantages on a cruising catamaran:
  • A large forward triangle allows a larger foresails choice: a promise for great performance
  • The shorter boom makes the mainsail much easier to maneuver
  • The mainsail, which is relatively narrower and higher, benefits from better winds at the top, thus enhancing performance
  • By re-centering the weight in this way, pitching is considerably reduced
The bows are also very fine and plumb to maximize waterline length. These changes to both the rig and hulls has improved sailing performance. The Lagoon 39 is one fantastic performing modern cruising cat.

The cockpit is large, comfortable and uncluttered by sheets or halyards, as all lines are up on the cabintop. Traffic flow between the cockpit and saloon is excellent, and there’s enough seating for a sizable party under the targa bimini.

You'll discover the interiors are inventive and elegant. The interior features the compression post aft at the galley which opens the forward windows for a panoramic view with opening ports embedded in the window wrap. The big vertical windows provide a panoramic view and are low enough to look through when seated. Tall sailors will delight in the headroom, and all will appreciate the countertop fiddles and mid-cabin post that make good grab points in rough weather.

Huge open salon with settee and forward navigation center for easy inside steering and watches. The saloon includes a large dining area forward to starboard, a chart table with a panel for navigation electronics and a small desk with a flap. Owner hull features a master king berth aft, sette, storage lockers, hanging lockes, and huge head forward with complete seprate shower. Guest hull has 2 nice sized cabins and a second head with shower.

The cabins have excellent natural lighting with new fixed hull windows, together with excellent ventilation thanks to the deck hatches and portholes that open out to the hull-side. Aft to port, the « L » shaped galley is a large galley with lots of storage and indoor/ outdoor open access to cockpit for a better usability and social activity.

This boat is almost new and is loaded with extras (see boat inventory below). She's most definately ready for new adventures.
