SV Blue Infinity is a Caribbean based 2018 Lagoon 42 catamaran for sale by owner

This Boat Owner requires financial settlement only ... trades will not be considered!!

The Lagoon 42 is one of the hottest Lagoon models ever launched! With over 350 boats sold in less than 3 years, the Lagoon 42 is the most popular cruising boat in her class since introduced in 2016. Awarded the 2017 "Boat of the Year" by Cruising World in the "less than 50 feet catamaran" category, making this the fourth award for the Lagoon 42 in one year!

Blue Infinity is a one-owner, 3 cabin owner version, which was commissioned in France directly from the factory. Her owners outfitted her in France, then joined the 2018 ARC+ and sailed her from France to the Caribbean where she has been cruising ever since. From the factory she was very well equipped but the owners spared no expense in further upgrading her to be the most outfitted L42 for sale. Not only does she have many entertainment and comfort extras, she’s fully equipped with ARC approved safety gear, so she’s blue water ready.

All lines run back to the helm, making single-handing possible and double-handing an absolute breeze. Lagoon has made subtle changes to the rig on this version. The mast has been moved slightly aft, closer to the boat's center of gravity, allowing for a more stable ride, and allowing for larger headsails and a smaller mainsail. This boat comes with a full set of sails including a Code Zero (a monster light-wind sail). She also has an ergonomic helm station which offers good communication with both the cockpit and saloon, as well as easier access to the boom. A composite bimini with a sliding panel provides a good view of the sails, with a closure panel for helming station safety when under way. All in all, a worthy successor to the Lagoon 420.

While cruising, enjoy the views from the upgraded forward facing seating areas – extra large coach roof lounge cushions and two cushions that can be tied directly to the front net areas, all Lagoon official and matching the cockpit seating cushions. The cockpit area is the center stage of this boat and where owners have spent most of their time. The bonus refrigerator in the cockpit area is perfect for stocking your sundowners. Several seating areas include the table for meals, but also includes two lounge-type areas as well. Clear plastic surrounds for the entire cockpit and helm area allow you to capture and maintain the sunshine and heat on cooler mornings and are great protection from rain. Owners also had custom made sun shades created for the cockpit area to allow a more enjoyable, cooler afternoon on those hot summer days. The stern scoops make for really easy boarding from the dinghy and act as great fishing platforms! The helm station is extremely comfortable with good visibility and the sail plan is set up for easy sail handling for a couple.

The Owners' Version features the entire starboard hull dedicated to the private master stateroom. Aft, the island bed is large and low for easy access, and the large hull windows let the captain check out the surroundings without getting up. Amidships, a desk and storage create a well-managed area. The head forward takes up a third of the hull, with a huge shower compartment that will remind folks of home.

The U-shaped galley is split, with a three-burner Eno stove, large single sink, oven, and microwave to starboard and front-loading refrigerator and top-loading freezer to port. The sink has both fresh water and salt water faucets. The large L-shaped settee, cushioned bench, and dining table provide plenty of room for guests, but when not entertaining, the dining table can be lowered to form a large lounge seating area for relaxing, reading, or napping. Tons of storage in the settee, bench, and saloon floor allow you to stock up on favorite food and beverage items for cruising between islands or passages. Chart table with VHF, 12" B&G chart plotter and Fusion music/dvd player is positioned within the saloon for easy passage planning over your morning coffee.

Owners intended to liveaboard for some time, so many upgrades were done to experience cruising life in comfort and style. Six months cruising the Caribbean islands have proven several of these additions to be invaluable. The Aqua Base 105 Liter watermaker has been amazing, not only is it fast, it’s pretty energy efficient, allowing us to use much more water than most cruising vessels.

No need to worry about power, with 4 - 320 Watt solar panels, two of which reside on a custom-made frame over the dinghy. For entertainment, owners have included a 32” Vizio tv in the salon (IS THIS SIZE CORRECT?) to help pass a rainy afternoon, and an LG projector that can be rigged up on the back deck for big screen evening showings on calm nights. A Magma grill, Magma pots and pans, a bread maker, Instant Pot, Food Saver, induction cooktop, and Ninja Blender/Food Processor set make meal prep and planning easy and fun. For enjoying the crystal blue waters and all the fun toys included with Blue: American-made J Sink dive hookah with 4 – 60 foot lines, 2 paddle boards, and 2 floaties (a peacock and a unicorn)

Blue has been meticulously owner operated and maintained, never chartered, and is already located in paradise. Her owners are searching for a new owner who will enjoy her as much as they have. The Owner's originally intended on cruising on a multi year circumnavigation, but a unique business opportunity presented itself, causing them to change their plans and sell her well before they intended. She is currently strapped on the hard for hurricane season at Carriacou Marine — Tyrrel Bay, Grenada, and will be moved North to BVI (November, 2019) for this coming cruising season.
