S/V 'Imagine 2' is a Florida based 1989 Catana 39 catamaran for sale by owner

This Boat Owner requires financial settlement only ... trades will not be considered!!

Catana boats were designed as serious boats for the serious sailor in all of us. Designed by the famous Lock Crowther, the Catana 39 was specifically designed for the discerning sailor with the emphasis on performance, as well as comfort, by using daggerboards rather than fixed keels. The Catana's daggerboards ensures good performance to windward. These boats have a reputation as a fast and safe boat for blue water cruising.

This fast cruiser, designed by Lock Crowther and built by the famous Catana wharf in 1989 is a turn key boat. Our family is just finishing cruising 12,000 miles from the Atlantic coast of France to Greece to Florida. We have loved this boat and it was a great catamaran for our family.

Because this catamaran has dagger boards we were able to head upwind allowing us to sail more than motor throughout our year and a half living comfortably aboard. It’s relatively simple design and layout make it an efficient and fast sailing catamaran. We hit speeds in the 9 knots and often averaged 8 knots. One particularly nice feature is its high clearance under the main salon which prevents some of the dreaded catamaran wave slap.

S/V 'Imagine 2' is ready to go around the world or around the Caribbean. Everything in offshore order and fully equipped for long term cruising. She is priced to sell and awaiting her new owner to continue the voyage.
