From time to time there is a need to do a boat project.  Originally, I thought I'd put some pages up as time permits on items that might be of interest to other boat owners, as well as present my current dilemmas. However, As the years have gone by there have been ambitious and by far, more interesting projects completed by other Catalac boat owners. I present them on this page as well.
Boat Projects
Catalac Rudder / Skeg upgrade: Didier Grieten's article on upgrading the older Catalac steel rudders to the newer skeg hung rudder found in MK II boats. Better tracking and windward performance.
A simple voltage regulator: This isn't for your alternator. It's to run battery powered devices off of your battery bank. The problem is that battery operated radios, GPS, boom boxes, laptops  or what ever, usually run on 3-9 volts and an adapter is usually required. I figured that it was easier and cheaper to make one myself. This will cost about 2 bucks. Take a look at it here.
Window repair page I describe a workable fix on Catalac windows (not ports, we have real glass windows) have been known to leak a bit now and then.
Struck by Lightning Repairing the mast damage from a lightning strike
The marine electronics cabinet Page A custom teak Radio Cabinet to house an AM/FM/MP3 player and our Marine VHF radio.
Rigging Tune Squeeze a little more speed out of your boat. Most Rigging needs a bit of tuning.  Here's a step by step procedure.
Yanmar Engine Removal Diesel engine removal, the bane of all boat owners.
