CatamaranSite publishes a connector for AI assistants. Once you have added it, you can ask Claude or ChatGPT for catamarans the way you would ask a broker — by budget, by number of cabins, by where you want to sail — and it searches our live catalogue and shows you the boats.
It is read-only. It answers questions about boats that are currently for sale and it links you to the listing. It never fills anything in, sends anything, or buys anything on your behalf.
The address
The connector lives at https://www.catamaransite.com/wp-json/api/v1/mcp
It is a Model Context Protocol server over Streamable HTTP. There is no sign-in, no account and no key — it is public, and it only ever reads.
Adding it to Claude
Open Claude, go to Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste the address above. Custom connectors are available on Claude’s paid plans.
Then just ask for a boat. Results come back as cards you can look through inside the conversation.
Adding it to ChatGPT
In ChatGPT, add it as a connector using the same address. The same four tools and the same card view are served to both assistants.
What you can ask for
Search the catalogue. Filter by builder, model, asking price, length, year, number of cabins, cruising area, and sail or power. “Find me a four-cabin catamaran under $500,000 in the Caribbean” is a complete request.
Open one listing in full. Photographs, the description, the specification, where the boat is lying, and whether you are dealing with a brokerage or the owner selling their own boat.
Compare two to four boats. Side by side on length, beam, draft, cabins, heads, year, asking price and location — the specifications that actually decide between them.
See who is in stock. Every builder with boats for sale right now, and how many of each. Useful before you have narrowed anything down.
What it will not do
It will not contact a seller for you. There is no tool that submits anything. When you want to enquire, it links you to the listing, where the seller’s own contact form is. That is deliberate: an open, unauthenticated endpoint that posted enquiries would be an obvious route for spam aimed at our sellers.
It will not show you sold boats or sold prices. Only listings currently for sale are searchable. A boat that has sold or been withdrawn is not reachable through the connector, and neither is what it was asking or what it made.
It will not change anything. Every tool is read-only. Nothing you or the assistant does through the connector alters a listing, an account, or anything else on this site.
Privacy
The connector asks for no personal information and stores none. It receives the search you asked for — a price range, a builder, a cruising area — and returns matching boats. It does not receive your conversation, your name, or your email address, and it has no account to attach anything to.
Links out of the connector to this site carry a campaign tag so we can tell in our own analytics how many visits arrive this way. That is ordinary web analytics and is covered by our privacy policy.
Your conversation with Claude or ChatGPT is between you and them, under their own privacy policies. We never see it.
