One look and you will either fall in love with the Manta or not. These are cult catamarans. Production started in 1993 under the management of Pat Reischmann with the Manta 38 under contract with Endeavour Yachts in Largo, Florida. Production continue their with 40 and 42 foot design introduced. Manta opened their own yard in 2001 in Sarasota, Florida. Multiple versions of the 42 were built as well as a 44 foot power boat developed in 2007. Production ended in 2008 due to health issues of ownership and the financial pullback of the Great Recession.

Sangaris was the Manta Company Show Boat in the 2005 & 2006 US Sailboat Shows in Annapolis and benefits from having had maximum attention to detail during construction and is outfitted with all optional factory extras. She also has premium maintenance & cruising systems such as a central RCI-Puratec InLine or Recycle Fuel Polishing System for both Volvo Mains.

This is an “owners” version catamaran layout with 3 separate berths that sleeps 5 comfortably in 2 aft staterooms on queen-sized beds and a forward single.

S/V Today (formerly TnA) is a Port Aransas, TX based 1997 Manta 40 catamaran for sale by owner.

She has tons of solar power all refrigeration and DC without the use of the engines. New batteries in 2022, new windows and double life lines with boarding gates in 2014 as well.

Our sailing plans were postponed by a decade or two with the pending arrival of our little blessing (baby boy). I hope this catamaran brings the next family as much joy and adventure as it did ours.

The Manta 42 is well-respected among cruisers as a very capable and practical long range cruising yacht. Built in Sarasota, Florida to very high standards, she is safe, comfortable and fast. Built-in safety features include the laminated hull to deck joint and collision bulkheads creating watertight compartments in the ends of each hull.

We purchased Tookish in 2016 from dear friends that owned her since 2009. She has been very well maintained and upgraded throughout our ownership. Tookish is held in a Delaware Corporation. The boat and corporation are included in the sale if desired.

S/V Ruatahi started life as a 1999 Manta 40 and is now a Manta 46 catamaran for sale by owner.

I worked with a famous Naval Architect (Gunboat fame amongst other things) to see if we couldn’t improve the motion and load carrying capabilities also to bump the performance up a little. The sterns have been extended, and she’s about 46’ LOA now. The rudders have been extended also to give better control.

Ruatahi has many other customizations and upgrades including an extended mast, “kiwi prop” saildrives, and a Hurricane diesel hot water and heating system. Contact me to see her!

SV “True Colors” is a Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA, based 2003 Manta 42 Mk-II Catamaran for sale by owner. This is an “owners” version layout, with the Owner’s Stateroom and private head on the port side and a VIP stateroom, and another stateroom forward with a shared head midship.

Knowledgeable owners have kept this vessel in immaculate condition. Some of the recent upgrades include new Volvo Penta D1-30s, Saildrives, and new FlexFold Props. New Mast, MainSail, and standing and running rigging, new dinghy with 20hp Yamaha outboard. There is also a new autopilot and a new watermaker, upgraded in 2022.
