Apache catamarans were produced by Sail Craft Ltd, the company formed in 1960 by Olympic gold mentalist Reg White. Along with the company’s executive designer, Rod MacAlpine-Downie, they produced a long line of race-winning successes. They originally designed and built the Tornado, a double-handed multihull class recognized as an International Class by the International Sailing Federation. It was used for the Olympic Catamaran discipline from 1976 to 2008. They originally designed and built the Mystere, a popular beach-cat still in production today by a Canadian company. They are also responsible for the Aztec, the first collapsible multihull, allowing for easy trailering of a larger multihull. Their larger racer/cruisers, Iroquois, Cherokee and Apache, outperform any other boats in their classes and have won many competitions. The Apaches were built to Lloyds specifications and provide unashamed trans-world luxury. They will out-sail any other trans-oceanic cruiser of their size.
