The 400 was mostly built by Norseman Marine in Cape Town, South Africa although some were built by Robertson & Caine (Leopard builder). Part of their Archipelago series of high performance catamarans with style & comfort. Norseman Marine was purchased in 1996 by Voyage and a few were built under Voyage brand name. This is the prototype for the Voyage 440 that won the 2001 Cruising Boat of the Year Award. Alexander Simonis designed the Norseman 400 to be a strong, fast offshore cruising catamaran that is immensely spacious at anchor. Simonis had a 400 built in 1993 for his father.
