S/V Time Out is a Golfito based 2009 Admiral / Celtic 40 Catamaran For Sale By Owner
This catamaran owner requires financial settlement only. Trades will not be considered.

S/V Time Out is a Admiral 40 Executive, designed by Angelo Lavranos. This catamaran for sale by owner has three cabins with double berths, and 2 heads with showers. The Owner’s suite features a master stateroom, desk/vanity and large private head and occupies the starboard hull, while the double guest cabins and second head fill the port hull. Time Out has only had two owners and has never been in charter.

Note: Admiral Yachts is now known as Celtic Yachts.

We purchased her in South Africa from the original owner in 2016 and sailed from Cape Town, South Africa up to Walvis Bay, Namibia. In early 2017 we sailed from Namibia via St Helena and Brazil to Grenada. In 2017 and 2018 we cruised the Caribbean from Grenada up the windward islands ,Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic to Havana, Cuba and on to Florida and then back to Grenada for the 2018 hurricane season. Time Out is currently at Golfito, Costa Rica.

Due to her size and design Time Out is easily sailed short handed or even single handed. And her broad beam gives her stability in all conditions.

The starboard hull includes the owner’s cabin and features 4 full length lockers, a vanity table with mirror and a large head and shower. The owners head has a large shower with sit in bath and toilet. The cabin was designed to have extra large lockers which allows for more than the usual amount of storage space. The cabin has a dedicated A/C. The port hull has two double size cabins with a shared head and shower. Both port cabins have A/C. The galley includes a front loading fridge and freezer, three burner stove, double sink and a lot of counter space. The saloon is spacious with beautiful African Antelope leather cushions at the dining table. The table can be converted to an extra bed.

The layout is the favored owners version. In the starboard hull, there is a large master bedroom aft, a nav station midships and large bathroom forward. On port side, there is an equally large aft bedroom, a guest bathroom midships and a guest cabin forward. The saloon table can be lowered and turns into a very large chill area or double bed, perfect for kids (or adults!) to spend hours playing or simply lounging around. Outside, under the high cockpit roof, is easy access stowage for all your water sports gear.

Collision bulkheads forward separate the accommodation from the bow compartment. In the unlikely event of any collision, the safety bulkheads ensure that any potential damage or water ingress, is contained. The boat can easily be single handed day and night.

Over and above the usual equipment (listed below) a Schenker water maker and AC were added. New Raymarine navigation suite and radar were installed in 2016. Additionally the dingy and engine were purchased in 2016 and the life raft in 2017. Aft awnings were added in 2017 so that the cockpit can be completely enclosed. Hatch covers and saloon shades added in 2018.

Due to family obligations we have put Time Out on the market, hoping to find a new owner who will enjoy her as much as we have. Owner is open to offers.
