S/V Turning Point is a West Indies based 1984 Catalac 12M for sale by owner. The 12M Catalac is an ocean cruising catamaran built in Christchurch, England, by Tom Lack Catamaran. The build quality is outstanding with a solid fiberglass hull and no deck or doghouse coring where equipment is through bolted. This is a world class blue water catamaran, for sale by owner, well cared for by her long time owners. You’ll find these limited production boats on all of the world’s oceans.

Considered the Ultimate Live aboard Cruiser with spacious salon, great head room & 3 large cabins & 2 heads, these boats were the Lack family’s finest example of a cruising catamaran. Once you step inside these boats, a sense of a solid elegance is instantly apparent with real cabinetry and Mahogany throughout the boat.

This is an excellent opportunity for a new owner to work with the previous owner ( knowledgeable & easy to work with ) on the retrofit get to know the boat — & live aboard in the lower Caribbean while doing so. ( Note: Owners have lived in the Caribbean for 30 years.) Then, at his or her leisure, enjoy the Windward & Leeward islands on a comfortable sail back, returning to the North America or Europe without beating to windward. Live your dream.

The boat features a very large walk in shower with shelves, head, plus a bar and an expanded galley with freezer and refrigerator. No cramped spaces here, plus excellent storage abounds. Current Owners have owned & loved her since 1999 & lived aboard for 6 years while building their dream home in the Caribbean.

This catamaran for sale by owner has a huge uncluttered cockpit for party time entertaining and relaxing in a hammock. New cushions and pillow covers in Main Salon and aft cabin, all tastefully color coordinated. This Catalac 12M features superior, class act joinery work and expensive Mahogany ( not veneer) all in very good condition. The galley counter tops & shelves are professionally covered in white Formica giving a light an airy feeling to all interior areas, and of course, excellent ventilation in every area.

With her long time owners, we are pleased to say this vessel has not been altered and/ or ( chopped up in any way) from her original exquisite design. Also, this vessel has never been chartered.
