Completed in 2006, ‘Tantrum’ is a 42ft French designed and built racing Trimaran that is most at home sailing in shorthanded races like the Route de Rhum. She is fast, strong and has a great track record to date. Now it’s time for the current owner to pass her on so the list of achievements can continue.

With surprisingly spacious accommodations in the main hull, Tantrum also boasts over 180cm in headroom and is nearly 3m wide inside the main cabin. The yacht is also able to be folded in a similar way to a Corsair or Grainger.

Why a trimaran? They say they sail/handle better than a catamaran as they feel like a monohull. They are much faster than a monohull maintaining speeds above 10 knots on all points of sail in just as little as 10 knots and without the 40-degree heel. It is definitely a bonus when you are fast, safe and comfortable sailing across an ocean.

With a beam of 10M, the nets give the crew living space to have fun and bring all the toys. They also give a strong and safe platform to make a strong seaworthy boat that has been tested in the harsh seas of Brittany.

In 2019 she was professionally converted into a fast offshore cruiser, ready to race or leisurely sail around the world. Between 2022 & 2023 she underwent extensive upgrades and refurbishment, to create the fast and strong vessel on offer today.
