S/V Aspen is a Charleston, SC based 2004 Dolphin 460 Catamaran For Sale By Owner
This catamaran owner requires financial settlement only. Trades will not be considered.

S/V Aspen is an extensively upgraded Dolphin 460 blue water, performance cruising, catamaran capable of FAST passages and MONTHS off-grid. OVER $150,000 INVESTED IN THE LAST YEAR in mechanicals, systems, and cosmetics. NEW: engines, saildrives, folding props, solar array, lithium, electronics, standing rigging, sails, light gray upholstery, all galley appliances, etc. (full list of upgrades below)

The Dolphin cats offer an excellent balance of safety, comfort, and speed. The hulls are constructed of vacuum-bagged fiberglass using vinylester resin over Divinycell closed-cell foam core, which means these boats are light, stiff, strong, and don’t have moisture issues.

The saloon has a U-shaped dinette that will seat six, a large modern galley with twin sinks and plenty of working counter space and a modern nav station. The saloon flows into the open area of the after cockpit via large, Lexan sliding doors that have robust aluminum frames. The cockpit has a second table and bench seats as well as the raised steering station to starboard. A fiberglass hardtop covers the cockpit.

Upgraded with lots of carbon fiber, including mast (rotating), boom, and cross beam. Her daggerboards provide upwind performance. The Dolphin helm is well protected at the bulkhead with visibility to all four corners.

The Dolphin 460 is an advanced performance cruising catamaran designed for serious sailors who demand fine sailing capabilities from their cruising boats. With a tall rig and daggerboards, the 460 has the power to sail fast and the hull form and deep foils that make it very effective when sailing on the wind. These boats are 20 percent faster than standard cruising cats and as close winded as modern cruising monohulls. During a recent offshore event, a 460 averaged 11 knots for 12 hours.

No marinas needed. Solar array is taking care of all power needs (cooking, water-making, and house loads).

4 cabin, 2 head layout. Never chartered, this boat originally belonged to the owner of Dolphin catamarans for his personal use. The saloon has a U-shaped dinette that will seat six, a large modern galley with twin sinks and plenty of working counter space and a modern nav station. We are currently located in Charleston, SC to get ready to welcome a surprise baby into the family. (!) Considering all the time and money we have invested, the asking price ($USD) is fair and firm. It includes delivery to you on the US East Coast if desired.
