The EndeavourCat 36 is the perfect Bahamas, Carribean, South Florida and Eastern Seaboard sailboat.

This EndeavourCat 36 has been owned by the seller since 2007. Valkyrie has been exceptionally well maintained, constantly upgraded and kept to the highest standards. She has everything you need for extended cruising.

Valkyrie was selected as the show boat for the EndeavourCat company at the 1999 Miami Boat Show, as well as pictured on the front cover of the company’s brochures. She was originally purchased with every imaginable option and the owner has constantly upgraded, updated, and added to the list.

With a draft of only 2’10” she can go almost anywhere. Her cruising spinnaker allows her to travel in light air, and with her heavy-duty full-battened Mainsail and Full-battened Camber-spar self-tacking Jib (both made for her by Mack Sails) she can also safely handle heavy weather, and anything in between. The two Volvo diesel engines were upgraded to the larger MD2030, 30hp motors and the saildrives were upgraded from SA-120s to brand new SA-130s with new bronze Volvo folding props in 2007, so she can get you wherever you want to go regardless of the weather or wind while still only burning 0.3 gallons/engine/hour. If it gets squally outside – no worries – your full length Nida-cored fiberglass walk-on hardtop won’t let a drop of rain touch the helm station. Just relax in your captain’s chair, turn on the windshield wipers and RADAR and sit back, warm and dry, until the squall subsides. The chartplotter-interfaced AIS receiver will also let you know if there’s dangerous traffic out there.

The 3.5 KW generator by NextGen and CruiseAir reverse-cycle ducted air conditioner will keep you cool and powered up once you get there and the 200 gallon/day watermaker will keep your tanks full so you can enjoy daily showers in the dedicated stand-up shower stall. Cook dinner on the propane stove or in the oven, or use the microwave, or maybe grill on the aft deck on the Magma BBQ. The ICOM M-710 SSB/HAM radio keeps you in touch offshore and the Pactor3 modem allows you to send and receive emails and weather reports anywhere on the ocean, worldwide – for free. Relax and watch the flatscreen TV in the forward stateroom on the queen bed or go take a nap in the queen sized bed in the starboard aft cabin. Both bunks have memory foam cool-gel household mattresses. The port aft cabin was originally a 3rd stateroom, but has been converted to a “garage” for storage of cruising supplies and dozens of spare parts for the motors, generator, watermaker, and all the many systems.

All the major, big-ticket jobs have been done as needed. The sail drive bellows were both just replaced in 2021, the large acrylic side windows/ports are new and crystal clear (complete with custom canvas covers to keep them that way), the standing rigging has been replaced with 316 stainless and the lifelines were also replaced with 316 stainless. There is not a single leak in the entire boat. All the electronics have been upgraded. There is a Raymarine Evolution autopilot and a new Maxwell windlass. The fiberglass hardtop was added in 2012 and is built of the same layup and core as the factory hulls. It is strong enough to walk on, and makes putting the main away a breeze.

With a 15ft beam she fits into any standard size slip in a marina or regular sized travel lift at the boatyard. Having been up and down the US east coast as well as the Bahamas, Valkyrie has never once been charged the “Catamaran tax” of extra costs for slip fees or haul out fees due to the extra width so many cats have.

Valkyrie is fully ready to go.   She just came out of the boatyard in May 2024 with 3 new coats of ablative bottom paint and fully serviced saildrives, props, and fresh zincs.

The Carribbean, Maine, or anywhere in between – this boat is ready to take you there today – in complete comfort.

This boat is truly exceptional – take a look.
