S/V Saltair3 is a 1996 FP Venezia 42 for sale by owner. What an amazing opportunity this Catamaran is. She is Blue Water ready, a Turn Key and completely renovated 42′ Fountaine Pajot Catamaran. Sail away today!

This is one of the best valued catamarans on the market right now.  You may have seen our Catamaran while watching YouTube. If you’re looking for more info visit our channel “Sailing Trio Travels” on YouTube where we have documented all of our upgrades, renovations and adventures. With much pride we have kept her in top notch shape! In 2019 we even gave her hulls a shiny new Gel Coat.

Saltair 3 is a fast and very comfortable Catamaran. The Fountaine Pajot Venezia’s have an above average high bridge deck clearance allowing her hulls to glide almost silently through the water at recorded speeds of up to 12 knots! While other cats tend to push the water in larger seas this one glides through. She does more than half the wind speed in anything less than 15 knots of wind and reaches the higher speeds in the higher winds while reefed!

Her helm is perfectly located in the protection of the cockpit and being so it allows easy access to the rest of the boat and your family while underway. Other cats with their high up helms are exposed to the elements and away from the rest of the boat. The Venezia 42’s helm keeps you near your friends and family while still in charge of the boat.

The Venezia is one of the few catamarans that balances performance with comfort. This sleek looking Fountaine Pajot, is a well equipped cruising catamaran which has fine entry bows, a modern streamlined profile and the saloon window ‘visor’ which became the trademark design feature of many later catamarans.

The accommodations are 4 large private cabins plus 2 crew cabins (currently used for storage) in the absolute forward.

There are 2 larger than average heads, one in each hull with shower, sink and toilet. Her galley has been completely renovated and is the classic “galley up” design letting you enjoy the scenery while making a meal. As you enter the saloon through the sliding glass door her galley is to port and includes new counter tops with increased counter space, a 3-burner stove with oven, double sink with sprayer faucet and a front-loading 12-volt fridge with a freezer compartment. In typical French fashion, the galley works well and has great counter space.

In 2015 before we set sail and in recent years we have continued to upgrade every system SA3 has. From the new gel coat, to a new main sail to new electronics, the rigging, the galley/kitchen, the salon, cabins and the bathrooms, a water maker, 1000 watts of Solar, a large solar arch and 480 amps of Lithium ion batteries. It was like we put a new boat into this classic, spacious and fast catamaran hull. Completely outfitted she is truly ready to cross an ocean or just spend a week out at anchor. Saltair3 is ready for the adventures you are dreaming about…

In 2019 we re-powered SA3 with two brand new Yanmar 3YM30AE engines complete with 60 amp alternators and feathering 3 Blade Max Props.

There are also loads of extras included like the Sailing Hobie Mirage pedalling Kayak, Paddle board, Surf boards, spear guns, fishing rods, free diving fins and masks, inflatable “big” tire push scooters and much more… She has been a treat to live, sail and explore with.
