Catamaran For Sale -- Henri Wauquiez Kronos 45 (Europe)

S/V “BADEN” is the 6th of the 13 Kronos 45 catamarans ever made built between 1991 and 1993 by the shipyard in Northern France. The Kronos was designed by Henri Wauquiez. Vat paid.

She is very well built and is a reasonably good sailing and fast boat. She can be sailed well by small crew as almost everything can be operated from the cockpit. Unfortunately, life circumstances have changed for our cruising plans. Therefore, as relatively new owners, it is with a heavy heart that we sell this beautiful catamaran.

The engines run absolutely reliably. Before the ship was put ashore in 2019, they received a comprehensive service and again a major service check took place in May 2022. Cruising speed: 7kn, Consumption: about 2.5L/h each engine.

She was converted by the previous owners to a very nice 3 cabin version. The owner’s cabin has a spacious living area and offers plenty of storage space, a shower and a separate electric toilet. 2 guest cabins are available on the starboard side, sharing a small manual toilet and a generous shower, and a hand basin in the anteroom. 2x hot water tanks can be heated via shore power, the generator or the engine heater. Kitchen and saloon have good headroom. Also here is plenty of space available.

The wood is light and friendly. The large settee with 2 fold-out tables makes entertaining guests a pleasure. The gas system has been replaced by an electric ceramic hob. Via a Victron inverter, with a generator as backup, operation is effortless.

On deck there is plenty of cockpit space, a fixed bimini (new 2019) provides good protection and can be shaded with additional side panels. The bench seat from the helm folds on its axis in 2 easy steps, providing plenty of room for family and friends at the folded-out dining table in the cockpit.

The standing rigging is a combination of Kevlar/stainless steel (from 2003). The rotating mast and boom are made of Alucarbon.

The underwater hull received a Copper Coat paint job in Italy in 2017 and has not yet been polished. The teak deck was refinished in 2013.

The engines, 2 x Yanmar 4JHE2, with 48hp each. have around 6,400 hours each and run absolutely reliable. Before the ship was put ashore in 2019, they received a comprehensive service and again a major service check took place in May 2022.
