S/V Super Deux Purr is a four cabin, four heads charter version 2013 Lagoon 400 S2 catamaran, for sale by owner. She was introduced into the Dream Yacht fleet in the British Virgin Islands in 2014. She was used for less than 3 full seasons in charter before being damaged by Hurricane Irma in September 2017.
We bought Super Deux Purr in 2018 and she has been completely and professionally refitted over the CoViD years by an IIMS surveyor, with no expense spared for comfort and safety. Having sailed her over the 2022-23 winter season between St Martin, Grenada and the Bahamas, here in the Caribbean, whilst I’m very proud of what we have achieved with our renovation, I’m afraid I’m just not a catamaran sailor.
There’s not a thing on board that hasn’t been changed, checked or upgraded; the mast, rigging, sails, engines and canvas are all brand new. She has a state of the art cellular aerial to provide data on board, and security cameras which back up onto a hard drive; this also hosts movies and music and the iPad Pro at the chart table can be used for navigation.
There is a recent survey (May 2022) and she is insured for USD $340,000.
At anchor, she is a very comfortable live-aboard, with a well equipped galley including two fridges and a separately installed electric freezer. 1,300 watts of solar panels on a beautifully made stainless steel solar arch and dinghy gantry keeps up with normal daily power demands and ensures a plentiful supply of ice for drinks.
