S/V Holy Cattitude is a 2020 Lagoon 42 catamaran, for sale by owner. Commissioned April 5, 2020 in Puerto Rico, we feel the Lagoon 42’ was a perfect fit for our transition into retirement. From our Puerto Rico home-base, Holy Cattitude kept us safe throughout the Caribbean, this past 4 years.

This new member of the Lagoon family is a sleek, modern design. While retaining the main features of the latest generation of Lagoons, it shows us a new path. The elegant silhouette with new coach roof design emphasizes the powerful and dynamic nature of this new model.

The Lagoon 42 is a VPLP design with exceptional performance under sail and an ingenious deck layout: the mast moved further aft and the self-tacking jib, provide ease of handling and the ability to bring all operations together in one place.

An ergonomic helm station at the coachroof bulkhead offers many advantages including direct communication between the cockpit and saloon, improved circulation forward and aft of the helm station, direct access to the coach roof with easier access to the boom, a composite bimini with a sliding panel to ensure a good view of the sails, a closure panel for helm station safety when under way.

The cozy cockpit, with smooth, elegant curves, a single level from the aft platform to the saloon ensures excellent use of space and ease of circulation on board, a large glazed door the entire width of the coach roof provides access to the interior. The suspended steps at the transom provide a continuous wide platform worthy of a large vessel.

We explored the Spanish Virgin Islands exclusively, our first year, while honing our catamaran sailing skills and familiarity with our new 42. Our next playground became the USVI and BVI’s, sailing back and forth from PR. By our 3rd year, the summer of 2022, we crossed 359nm from PR to the ABC’s, exploring our favorite dive and snorkeling spots in Bonaire.

Sailing back to PR again for local sailing and preparing for our 4th season. The summer of 2023 we cruised down the Caribbean chain of Islands to Grenada, sailing around Grenada and the Grenadines.  Since departing Grenada, we further explored more Caribbean Islands, on our way back to PR.

And at last, the final leg from PR to Florida, by way of DR and the Bahamas. Our current heading will be from Freeport-Bimini, to Key Largo. We hope Holy Cattitude finds her next adventure with as loving and caring caretakers as we have been. It’s been the best ride of our life, and a 4 year Honeymoon.
