DOUBLE DOWN is a nice example of the spacious Lagoon 420 with a 4 cabin layout. It has always been privately owned with no known charter usage. Her current owners have sailed it to Florida from the Caribbean starting in Grenada.

The design of the Lagoon 420 focuses on comfort. The light oak Alpi woodwork and the laminated wenge floor give a modern and relaxing feel. Access into the saloon from the cockpit through a sliding glass door on the same level.

The longitudinal galley opens directly on the cockpit, it is the most convivial and practical area, fully equipped with numerous lockers. The layout of the two hulls in the 4 cabin version are symmetrical with a central double bed in each cabin, a washroom with separate shower, large hull windows, lockers, and overhead hatches.

Double Down is available for showings by appointment in St Augustine, FL.

Andrew grew up sailing his father’s Hobie Cat and transitioned that into a long career as a USCG licensed captain in the yachting industry. Working his way up from his college years as a sailing instructor to a position as a private yacht captain aboard a Gunboat 57, he brings with him a comprehensive knowledge of catamarans and the cruising life. His career has taken him from his home waters of Cape Fear, through the waters of the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Central, South American, and the South Pacific Islands. During that time, he worked as a charter yacht captain and a professional delivery skipper specializing in catamarans. Andrew has operated a wide variety of multihulls, everything from old Lagoons to brand new Outremers and most things in between. This experience has given him an extensive first-hand knowledge of many different makes and models and a solid understanding of their various strengths and weaknesses.
