“Doris” is a 2007 Lagoon 500 catamaran for sale is operated and maintained by a professional and knowledgeable Belize maintenance team for the last 11 years and has been chartered only with a full-time Captain and Crew.  Featuring electronics updated in 2023, she has A/C, washing machine, dishwasher, generator, 3 refrigerators, freezer, new house batteries, and No damage history.  The saloon and galley are extremely spacious and is the desirable 4 cabin version with a larger primary cabin in the starboard aft hull.

She is one of the best maintained catamarans for this age and is fully equipped and ready to sail away today!

The luxury Lagoon 500 offers an elegant aft cockpit for lounging and alfresco dining. In many ways the cockpit seems like an extension of the saloon as it is accessed by a huge glass sliding door which when opened makes the salon and cockpit one giant space.

Access to the steering station is via curved steps on either side of the cockpit up to the fly-bridge featured on the Lagoon 500 which sits forward of the hardtop bimini protecting the cockpit from the weather and sun. This ‘flybridge’ level and seated on the full-width moulded bench seat and behind the typically sailing-style helm wheel – everything is at your fingertips. Nothing is done at the mast, there are no winches or cleats; as all lines lead to the flybridge. In effect creating a raised sailing cockpit on top of the cockpit overhang. The effectual nerve center of this Lagoon. This raised helm station is unique in concept and has the very real attraction of ensuring the sailing gear is kept completely separate from the lifestyle aspect. The fly-bridge offers seating for up to six passengers and is the best seat in the house under sail.

The main saloon, located on the bridgedeck between the hulls, offers a huge Salon area! The space is divided conveniently into the separate areas of galley, dining and helm station – without the need for partitions or walls. A dining setting is on the starboard side complete with a ‘four-leaf ’ table which unfolded to easily accommodate 8 – 10 seated guests. when this table is folded up it will then lower and transform into a most congenial ‘coffee table’ setting.

Entering this spacious saloon you are immediately struck by the sense of light and spaciousness. The trademark 14 Lagoon 500 front and side windows, provide natural light, four of which opened to provide good cross-ventilation. They not only offered light and of course panoramic views of the day, but the exterior overhang above all but blocked out direct sunlight; so important in the tropics.

Grenada has become one of the Caribbean’s premier yachting destinations and with over 10 years’ experience living here I can provide a brokerage service which has previously not been available in the Southern Caribbean. With great marinas and modern haul-out facilities able to handle boats up to 37ft Beam and up to 242 tons this is an ideal location to buy or sell your boat. Having bought and sold boats through the Catamaran Company, I have a unique perspective of how important choosing the right company is in making the buying or selling of your boat a great experience.
