S/V Sea Glass is a Harpswell, Maine based 2011 Leopard 46 Catamaran For Sale By Owner
This catamaran owner requires financial settlement only. No trades.

S/V Sea Glass, a 2011 Leopard 46 catamaran three-cabin owner model designed by Morrelli and Melvin, is one of the last of their most successful performance cruising catamaran models.  Ours has never been chartered, has no storm or lightning damage, has been well cared for and diligently maintained. A USCG documented vessel, Sea Glass is available now and is located in Maine.  She is turn-key and ready for new owners to sail south for the 2023/4 season.

With a 73’ air draft, the standing rigging includes a factory installed compression post for improved sailing performance and a collapsible bowsprit. The sail package includes a Neil Pryde mainsail and furling Genoa, Quantum Code Zero on a continuous furler and two asymmetrical spinnakers with dowsing socks. All sails are in good condition for cruising. Two Lewmar 54 winches (one electric) with all sheets and the main halyard are led to the helm via five separate clutches enabling single handed sailing. Ground tackle include an oversized 85 lb. Mantus anchor on 275’ of chain. A 2019 Highfield 360 tender with canvas chaps and 2018 Yamaha 25hp outboard will also convey.

Twin Yanmar 4JH-5E (~3.7k hrs./ea.) diesels with SD-60 transmissions/sail drives received 1,000 hr. servicing to Yanmar spec in 2022. Per the manufacturer’s specs, new sail drive seals were installed, clutch cones checked and routine 500 hr. servicing was done in 2023 along with a new anti-foul bottom paint. Three-blade feathering Max-Props with SharkShaft rope cutters complete the propulsion equipment.

A 9kW Northern Lights genset (~6.0K hrs) (also received the manufacturer’s required maintenance schedule in 2022/3); Lifeline AGM house battery bank totaling 810A/hr coupled with 1,120 watts of new solar panels (two rigid 400-watt NEC Alpha and two flexible 160-watt Sol-Go panels) are installed on the cockpit and helm decks. Two additional Sol-Go 160-watt panels are ready to be installed and will convey. Dual voltage 230v/120v systems with separate MagnaSine 2810 inverter/chargers support international cruising.

The Leopard 46 is recognized for its balance of sailing performance and comfort with a high bridge deck, a powerful sail plan and a spacious well thought out layout. A large, raised helm station offers easy access to the cockpit and side deck enabling shorthanded sailing and not separating the skipper from the crew. The owner’s hull is equipped with an office, an attractive feature for remote workers, with additional storage lockers/closets instead of the settee arrangement found in many owner models. It has a spacious shower, on board washer/dryer, sliding privacy door, a new custom latex queen mattress, independent reverse cycle air conditioning unit and a separate diesel, forced hot air heating system. A forward facing nav station in the salon is another attractive feature of this design. The guest hull features two spacious staterooms with ensuite heads each with a separate shower and reverse cycle AC. The cockpit and helm have custom Isinglass enclosures installed, cushions, bug screens and there are removable sunshades and awning for the front salon windows and stern deck respectively.

We have retained an Admiralty Law attorney to draft the various purchase and sale documents, handle escrow and the closing. We are also happy to share our knowledge of potential resources that may be helpful to buyers during this process.

Serious and qualified buyers only please. To arrange a phone / video call for more information including access to additional photos and a full equipment inventory contact the owners.
