S/V Smoke and Roses is a 2005 Leopard 47 catamaran for sale by owner, located in Port Charlotte, Florida. This Leopard 47 is built with thicker hulls for durability and peace of mind. This vessel can take on high seas, goes fast and points well to the wind. It is a 4 cabin version, with queen berths that can sleep 10 and has the reliable shaft drives. Built by Robertson and Caine this sleek looking catamaran was designed for speed, agility and reliable blue-water performance. Smoke and Roses was blessed to come out of the recent weather events unscathed.

Being the original owners, we have enjoyed over 50,000 cruising miles, including a circumnavigation and many years owning a sailing charter business, with us (both Captains) always running the yacht. We would not trade this catamaran for any other but are regrettably selling due to medical reasons. Continuous upgrades have been completed to ensure safety, redundancy, ease of single handing and cruising comfort for ourselves as well as our guests.

Upon entering Smoke and Roses’ salon you will be greeted with led lighting, beech wood finishes, panoramic views and 6’7” of headroom. The rounded corners on most interior items helps prevent injuries. There is seating for 8 adults. The ceiling fans and portholes provide maximum ventilation for a wonderful airy feeling. The galley is equipped with corian work surfaces and standard appliances.

Below deck Smoke and Roses has four spacious, air conditioned private staterooms with en suite heads and showers. The head has been removed from one cabin and replaced with a washer and dryer. Every cabin has a queen size berth, overhead lighting, reading lamps, fans, clothing lockers, and full length dress mirror. The large overhead hatches are great for stargazing and along with the portholes provides superb ventilation.

The large cockpit has a hard top for shade and ease of sail handling. The lower helm position means you avoid being separated from others as well as avoiding the safety risks of exposure. It also allows for greater sail area and stability. There is a large table and ample cushioned seating in the cockpit with direct walk thru access to the broad aft swim platform. The wide transom steps on both sides (sugar scoops) go right down to the water level from the integrated swim platform. This feature creates a great location from which to swim, dive or board a dinghy and helps prevent squatting when cruising weight is added. It is equipped with a fresh water hose to rinse or shower.

The upgraded rig geometry allows reefing from both the helm or the mast. The vast trampoline between the bows is the perfect place to relax and the user friendly deck layout is easy to move around with a non-skid surface.

This yacht is docked at our home, due to our charter business, we use, maintain and upgrade it regularly. It is very clean and shows well. Delivery to the East Coast of US, most of the Caribbean or Gulf Coast as far as Texas, is available. Temporary dockage may be available. September 2022 survey provided upon request.
