S/V Vizu is a 1999 Manta 40 catamaran, professionally extended to 42’ in 2015 for increased performance.  Designed by world renowned Eric Lerouge, these catamarans were built in the U.S.A. as an “Owner” version, with the port side exclusively for their comfort. (Queen size bed, large separate shower, electric head etc…).  The starboard has a Queen and a double bed, electric head, shower, washer/dryer.

The US built Manta catamarans are proven blue water cruising catamarans and maintained a loyal following of knowledgeable cruisers. These yachts are known for their sound construction and excellent performance. Designed for easy single handling, but can also accommodate a family. Inside the cabin you’ll find one of the best owner/operator layouts available. The horseshoe shaped galley, navigation station and dinette are in the main cabin. The hulls are reserved for the 3 staterooms which sleep 6 comfortably and 2 heads both with separate shower stalls.

The starboard hull features an aft VIP guest stateroom with queen size berth, a cedar lined hanging locker and plenty of drawers and storage. A custom teak bookcase is in the companionway. The guest head can be accessed from companionway or the forward guest stateroom. The guest head includes a separate shower stall, vanity with storage below, a large mirrored storage cabinet and electric fresh water toilet.

In the light and airy salon has expansive windows offering unparalleled views and includes the galley, dinette and navigation station. The large fully equipped galley is open to the salon and is laid out like a real kitchen with plenty of counter space and cabinets. The top loading refrigerator and separate freeze are 10 cubic ft and have plenty of room. With the large refrigerator/freezer and pantry there is ample room to stock up for cruising. The dinette can seat 8 with storage ottomans. There is plenty of room in the nav station for charts and storage.

This catamaran for sale by owner has been extensively up-dated and maintained and has everything necessary for safe, comfortable liveaboard cruising including 850 watts of solar, 6KW Genset, touch screen chart plotter, RADAR and even air conditioning!!. She includes all the cruising equipment for a fast and luxurious blue water catamaran.  Easily single handed from the pilot seat with all halyards and sheets to a Harken electric winch.  Complete B&G electronics with autopilot and color HD radar.

A self sufficient cruiser with 11 solar panels, wind generator, 12 volt freezer and fridge, propane stove/oven, propane BBQ, 30 gal./hr. , water maker, Northernlight generator, two “Cruise air” air conditioning for cool and heat, electric windlass with all chain and a 65 lb.
