The Manta 42 is well-respected among cruisers as a very capable and practical long range cruising yacht. Built in Sarasota, Florida to very high standards, she is safe, comfortable and fast. Built-in safety features include the laminated hull to deck joint and collision bulkheads creating watertight compartments in the ends of each hull. Several 42 Mantas have completed circumnavigations and many others are cruising to distant harbors. The Manta 42 enjoys one of the highest percentages of live aboard owners of any production boat.
We purchased Tookish in 2016 from dear friends that owned her since 2009. We have a long and detailed history with this boat and believe her to be one of the finest in the Manta fleet. Tookish has been very well maintained and upgraded throughout our ownership. 2020 Survey available to serious buyers.

A brief cruising summary: We left Florida in 2016 with the goal of completing a Caribbean circle. We completed that circle in March 2023 when we returned to Marathon, Florida. Our cruising season is December to June. Each hurricane season she is safely tucked away either on the hard or at a secure marina while we return to the Pacific Northwest for the summer. This gives us a great cruising window and time to keep the boat in tip top condition without adding the wear and tear of full time liveaboards.
