SV “True Colors” is a 2003 Manta 42 Mk-II Catamaran for sale by owner. This is an “owners” version layout, with the Owner’s Stateroom and private head on the port side and a VIP stateroom, and another stateroom forward with a shared head midship.

She is a well-equipped sailing vessel for long-distance blue water cruising with live aboard amenities. True Colors is a three-owner 2003 fully equipped 42 Ft Manta MKII. She has been very well maintained and upgraded throughout our ownership and is ready for a new owner to move aboard.

True Colors sleeps 4 comfortably in 2 staterooms on queen-sized beds. The owner’s suite is in the port hull. Both staterooms have freshwater toilets and separate showers. The main salon on the bridge deck contains a well-equipped Galley area, top-loading refrigerator/freezer, nav-table, electrical panels, dining area, and entertainment center. The starboard hull also contains the laundry room and storage areas. The helm is a true single-handed setup that can be open or fully enclosed. True Colors has all current navigational electronics and 1160 Watts of Solar Panels to support a safe and comfortable cruising environment.

The hull, deck, bulkheads, and sub-sole are vacuumed bagged utilizing a varying lamination schedule of biaxial, triaxial, and unidirectional cloth, cored with Core Cell(hull & deck) and Nida Core honeycomb coring(bulkheads, sub-sole) and laminated with vinylester and isophthalic resins.

Wetted surfaces below the waterline are solid GRP construction with vinylester resin, and above the waterline, in the hull and deck isophthalic resin is used. In the areas of thru-hulls, chainplates, and deck hardware the construction is solid GRP. All deck hardware is thru-bolted with aluminum backing plates laminated into the respective location. Manta further uses Kevlar in the bow and keel areas.

Thru-hull fittings and sea cocks are non-corrosive Marelon. The hull-to-deck marriage is done with 3M 5200 marine adhesive/sealant then further reinforced with 360-degree unidirectional laminates on the inside of the hull/deck bond for additional structural integrity and stiffness and essentially creating a monocoque structure. The hull/deck seam is then finished with a heavy-duty vinyl rub rail.

Interior finishes are a blend of light (Ash) wood veneers, natural teak wood moldings and trim, natural teak louvered wood doors accented with Swanstone composite countertops/sinks, vinyl headliners, Sunbrella upholstery, and high durability synthetic teak and holly appearing soles.

She sleeps 4 comfortably in two staterooms. The Owner’s suite is in the Port hull along with a companionway containing bookshelves, a storage cabinet, the ship’s pantry, and the owner’s bathroom with a large separate stall shower. The starboard hull contains the guest stateroom with a walk-thru bathroom with a full shower, connecting to the forward cabin.

The cockpit is fully covered with an aluminum tube frame/arch. The captain’s seat is set high for 360-degree views around the boat with direct access to all navigation equipment, engine controls, running rigging controls, and the electric winch for excellent single-handed operations. Also, in the helm are guest/crew seating with cushions, a removable dining table, and a manual winch for spinnaker or secondary head sail control. There are 4 lazarette storage lockers and line controls for the dinghy support system. Access to the main salon is thru a large waterproof hatch/door.

The salon area has access to the helm, and the port and starboard hulls. The bridge deck contains the kitchen/galley, navigation table, electrical panels, refrigerator/freezer, dining/settee area, entertainment area, wet locker, and storage cabinets. The kitchen area has a built-in composite sink countertop, 3-burner propane range/oven/broiler, drawers, and cabinets with a microwave oven. The cabinetry includes 2 drawers, with cabinets above and below the countertops.

The navigation station has a chart-sized hinged countertop with chart storage beneath, SSB and VHF radios. The cabinet under the navigation table contains the main AC/DC electrical panels with circuit breakers and all electrical distribution systems. The large top-loading chest-type refrigerator and freezer are easily accessible, and the doors are part of the composite countertop system. The L-shaped built-in bench seating is comfortable and with 2 seating/storage cubes provide seating around the adjustable tabletop.

The port hull features the Owner’s suite; queen size bed, a cedar-lined hanging closet, (4) drawers, open and closed shelving, a shoe locker, and a settee with storage under the seat. The companionway connecting to the master bath contains bookshelves and a closed cabinet on the outside and a large pantry cabinet on the interior side. The bath includes an electric flush, freshwater toilet, built-in sink composite counter, generous medicine cabinet, and a large separate shower.

The starboard hull features an aft VIP stateroom with a queen-sized bed, a cedar-lined hanging closet, 3 drawers, a shoe locker, and a settee with storage under the seat. The connecting companionway has bookshelves. The bathroom has an electric flush, freshwater toilet, built-in composite sink, and countertop with a storage cabinet. The separate full shower also provides thru passage to the forward cabin/V birth/laundry and storage area. The forward cabin contains a Splendide combo washer/dryer, cabinets, and storage shelves with a raised area that can be used as a single bunk or for sail/equipment storage. Under the bunk/cabinet work are the domestic water systems including the hot water heater, water filtration systems, water maker and main raw water strainers, and all water pumps and distribution systems.

Knowledgeable owners have kept this vessel in immaculate condition. Some of the recent upgrades include new Volvo Penta D1-30s, Saildrives, and new FlexFold Props.
