SV “True Colors” is a Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA, based 2003 Manta 42 Mk-II Catamaran for sale by owner. This is an “owners” version layout, with the Owner’s Stateroom and private head on the port side and a VIP stateroom, and another stateroom forward with a shared head midship.
She is a well-equipped sailing vessel for long-distance blue water cruising with live aboard amenities. True Colors is a three-owner 2003 fully equipped 42 Ft Manta MKII. She has been very well maintained and upgraded throughout our ownership and is ready for a new owner to move aboard.
True Colors sleeps 4 comfortably in 2 staterooms on queen-sized beds. The owner’s suite is in the port hull. Both staterooms have freshwater toilets and separate showers. The main salon on the bridge deck contains a well-equipped Galley area, top-loading refrigerator/freezer, nav-table, electrical panels, dining area, and entertainment center. The starboard hull also contains the laundry room and storage areas. The helm is a true single-handed setup that can be open or fully enclosed. True Colors has all current navigational electronics and 1160 Watts of Solar Panels to support a safe and comfortable cruising environment.
The hull, deck, bulkheads, and sub-sole are vacuumed bagged utilizing a varying lamination schedule of biaxial, triaxial, and unidirectional cloth, cored with Core Cell(hull & deck) and Nida Core honeycomb coring(bulkheads, sub-sole) and laminated with vinylester and isophthalic resins.
Wetted surfaces below the waterline are solid GRP construction with vinylester resin, and above the waterline, in the hull and deck isophthalic resin is used. In the areas of thru-hulls, chainplates, and deck hardware the construction is solid GRP. All deck hardware is thru-bolted with aluminum backing plates laminated into the respective location. Manta further uses Kevlar in the bow and keel areas.
Thru-hull fittings and sea cocks are non-corrosive Marelon. The hull-to-deck marriage is done with 3M 5200 marine adhesive/sealant then further reinforced with 360-degree unidirectional laminates on the inside of the hull/deck bond for additional structural integrity and stiffness and essentially creating a monocoque structure. The hull/deck seam is then finished with a heavy-duty vinyl rub rail.
INTERIOR FINISHES:
Interior finishes are a blend of light (Ash) wood veneers, natural teak wood moldings and trim, natural teak louvered wood doors accented with Swanstone composite countertops/sinks, vinyl headliners, Sunbrella upholstery, and high durability synthetic teak and holly appearing soles.
