S/V Powan is a 2012 Nautitech 442 catamaran, for sale by owner. Powan has been well maintained, and is ready to go.

The Nautitech 442 is constructed with infusion-molded hulls and decks, the latter incorporating a PVC foam core. Powan is the 4-cabin version, with two front cabins which can also be used as storage. The 442 also has a pair of small keels for stability and tracking, and even a very nifty water-catchment system incorporated in the boat’s rigid hardtop.

The 442 has twin helms, set all the way aft and outboard, to port and starboard, respectively. Count on 6.5 knots for a voyage, with a best day’s run of 208 nautical miles while recording a top speed of 17 knots—all very respectable numbers for a 44-foot cruising boat.

This boat offers the perfect combination between performance and living comfort. It should not be compared to a Lagoon or Fountaine Pajot sailing wise. So still, safe, and comfortable. The outboard helms give a good view and control over the boat when you are under way. It also makes room for great social seating areas. When the weather is rough, use the auto pilot and stay dry in the large cockpit underneath the hard bimini top. Since there is no fly bridge there is more space for a large and powerful mainsail with a boom low down.

4 cabins, 4 double berths with plenty of wardrobes and storage space. Berths are comfortable with new mattresses from 2020 Surrounded by rich and beautiful real-wood paneling. Many ports and hatches makes for an pleasant sleep.

The front cabin in each hull has a double bed, wardrobes and storage under the bed. There is an attached private bathroom with electric WC. The bathroom can also be entered from the passage way as it has two doors.

The rear cabin in each hull also has double beds, wardrobes and storages under the beds. There is an attached private bathroom with a shower. There is space to turn any of the bathrooms into a laundry room.

On the Bridge Deck is a u-shaped galley that is large and well planned. The saloon is open and light with panoramic 360 windows and ceiling windows. There’s also a comfortable and practical navigation station for piloting indoors when underway.
