Tom Harney of Jordan Yachts walks through a meticulously kept three-cabin Seawind with an ICW-compatible rig and serious cruising gear.
The Seawind 1260 has earned a devoted following among short-handed cruisers who want an indoor-outdoor living plan, sensible systems, and a mast height that clears the Intracoastal Waterway. S/V Anjuna, a 2023 build presented by Tom Harney of Jordan Yachts, checks all three boxes — and adds a long list of upgrades that make her ready to point south (or across) with minimal fuss.

Deck and Cockpit
Up forward, Anjuna carries a 47-pound anchor on 80 meters of chain, driven by a 12-volt Maxwell electric windlass, with both saltwater and freshwater washdowns. The self-tacking jib keeps sail handling simple, and the deck lockers swallow the sort of gear a cruising couple actually carries.
The cockpit is the Seawind’s calling card. Dual helm stations with dual engine controls let you dock or steer from either side, and the port helm has an electric window plus a swing-out bracket for the chart plotter. Reversible backrests on the helm seats mean you can face forward under sail or aft for dinner. Aft there’s a freshwater sink to starboard and a pull-out barbecue to port, and a Highfield 340 RIB with a 20 hp electric-start Tohatsu rides on the davits.
The Signature Tri-Fold Door
Fold up the tri-fold door and the salon and cockpit merge into one continuous living space — the feature that defines the 1260 experience at anchor. Inside, reverse-cycle air conditioning and heating keep the boat comfortable in any latitude, and large opening salon windows deliver real cross-ventilation when you’d rather sail on the breeze. The salon table drops down to form an extra berth, and the chart table to port opens for stowage.

Galley and Accommodations
The starboard hull houses a well-equipped galley: convection oven, top-loading freezer, front-loading fridge, double stainless sinks, and a propane stove with oven under an opening window — a small detail that makes a big difference when you’re cooking in the tropics. Aft in the starboard hull is a guest stateroom over the 30 hp Yanmar diesel with saildrive, and forward of the galley sits a second guest cabin with generous storage. A guest head with shower lives all the way forward.
The port hull is the owner’s domain: a queen berth, plentiful lockers, a large aft head with stall shower, and access to the port engine room and systems. All heads are electric freshwater flush.
Systems for Cruising
Anjuna carries 1,860 watts of solar, a Spectra Ventura 150-gallon-per-day watermaker, and a top-loading washing machine — the trio that turns a coastal boat into a genuinely self-sufficient one. She has been meticulously maintained, and Harney recommends a personal inspection to appreciate the condition.
