A 2023 top-to-bottom refit by a luxury hotel group turns this six-cabin catamaran into a turnkey charter-ready flagship.
Caroline Laviolette of The Multihull Company welcomes viewers aboard S/V Nomada, a 2014 Lagoon 620 that has been transformed by a comprehensive 2023 refit commissioned by a prestigious hotel group. The result is a six-cabin, six-head catamaran with hospitality-grade finishes, MCA certification already in hand, and enough thoughtful upgrades to slot straight back into charter service.
A Saloon and Galley Rebuilt for Entertaining
Step into the main deck and the refit’s fingerprints are everywhere. Thick, name-brand designer upholstery wraps custom seating around teak tables that adjust electrically between coffee and dining heights. A 40-inch TV sits in a bespoke teak surround, while the galley has been reworked around solid quartz countertops, recessed outlets, and a built-in garbage disposal.
Cooking and provisioning are genuinely serious: a five-burner stove with range hood and oven, side-by-side household-size fridge and freezer, an additional under-counter fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a built-in Whirlpool microwave, another fridge in the pantry, and a selectable fridge/freezer in the port companionway. It is a galley designed for a full charter guest list, not a weekend crossing.

Six Cabins, Six Heads
Nomada’s layout is a proper owner’s-plus-charter arrangement. The port and starboard forward cabins mirror each other with raised queen island berths, ample drawer and locker storage, and en suite heads with separate showers and teak soles. The starboard midships cabin sits a touch lower for easier access, while the starboard aft cabin — Caroline’s favorite — is the brightest and opens directly onto the sugar scoops for a morning swim. The port aft cabin has its own separate entrance, making it ideal for crew or VIP guests, and a second crew berth with head and shower is tucked into the starboard forward forepeak. Custom headboards, high-end linens, and quality furnishings run throughout.
Cockpit, Flybridge, and Toys
Outside, the refit continued with upgraded cockpit upholstery, an extra-large custom composite table, and a full bar cabinet featuring an integrated plancha, sink, two ice makers, and a refrigerator — all new. The tender lift platform was extended, with a cutout that opens to create a beach-club space when lowered. The tender itself is a 15-foot center-console RIB with a 90 hp outboard, capable of towing the Seabobs and other water toys stored in the port forepeak garage.

The flybridge is expansive, with another custom composite table, upgraded lounge seating, large Harken winches, an additional fridge, and a custom bimini with integrated lighting and maneuvering windows. Dual helm stations, a large Simrad plotter, and Starlink communications round out the driving experience.
Systems and Sailing
Below the mast, the technical locker houses the Onan generator, battery banks, chargers, and inverters. Nomada is powered by twin Volvo D3-110 hp engines — the port rebuilt in 2023 and the starboard replaced the same year — and carries dual watermakers, ten underwater lights, and an electric jib furler.
