S/V Beguiler is a 2001 Endeavourcat, 44 sailing catamaran, for sale by owner. Manufactured in Clearwater, Florida. This design was the 2002 Boat of the Year in her category in Sail Magazine.
She looks amazing and was built for extended cruising and not the charter market, as is evident by her abundance of storage ( need step ladder to reach!). We have owned Beguiler for 11 years, and use her for cruising the Bahamas every winter. Her first years were spent in freshwaters for summer sailing on Lake Ontario
This vessel has incredible head room and spaciousness with unparalleled views from the helm seat. Plenty of shaded and protected space in the cockpit with its massive hardtop bimini and full enclosure for inclement weather.
If you’re into easy sailing, this is the catamaran for you, as all lines lead to the helm with a self tacking jib and power winches. The winches make raising the sails a one person job and make going up the mast a breeze. Power davits make raising the dinghy easy. Fuel efficiency when motor sailing is extremely good at 0.5 gal per hr at 6 knots. Her mold is much like her sister trawler cat and could be a looper without the mast!
We spend all our cruising time off the grid with solar, lithium batteries, clothes washer, and large capacity watermaker. Best living features are her walkaround master bed on the same level as the salon, an upright fridge, extra wide walk around on deck, full garage under the cockpit and an incredible amount of cupboards and drawers. She has been extremely well taken care of as evidenced by her detailed log ( both owners are engineers and coastguard aux) and her superb condition.
