Exterior Photos

Astrea 42 with an inverted bow profile; demasted in 2020 with fiberglass structural repairs completed in Florida (approximately $160,000) and currently moored in Hitchcock, Texas. Protective strips are fitted on both transoms.

Deck Photos

The deck and cockpit include Beige Gris PVC outdoor upholstery, outdoor foredeck cushions with 2 bow seats, a gas barbecue, a cockpit fridge, and cockpit courtesy lighting. There is an additional windlass and additional mooring cleats, plus an ergonomically designed coachroof with a double helm seat and an integrated sun lounger.

The interior was never submerged and remains in very good condition, with saloon curtains and a saloon table convertible into a bed (table in storage). Systems include 12V fans, 56K BTU 110V 60Hz air conditioning (Maestro), a Video TV HIFI pack with TV/radio antenna and upgraded Bose audio, and interior 12V outlets.

Chris Block grew up in the New York City, but was drawn south via the University of Texas at Austin (BA Economics, MBA). He has had careers in Financial Services, Oil and Gas Construction and Supply Chain Management. Having developed a passion for sailing via the Austin Yacht Club, Chris has honed his skills racing JBoats, (80, 105, 109), Beneteaus, and even a Catalina.

Chris now owns a Lagoon 450F where he has owned and operated a training, charter and brokerage facility in the Kemah Boardwalk Marina for the last decade.

Chris now joins The Multihull Company as the lead broker at The Multihull Company Kemah Offices.
