Meet Isokratia. This 60 ft IsoCatamaran was designed by one of the world’s most famous catamaran designers, Kurt Hughes. Only premium materials were used in building the hulls and superstructure of this cat—vacuum-bagged composite wood West System epoxy. Further to that, custom-designed and carefully assembled cabinetry and furniture, built of the finest materials, give the whole yacht that flagship feel. All of that comes with the performance package for which Kurt Hughes designs are known.

Isokratia is safe and forgiving in any sea state and will sail when most standard, high-production charter cats would be tucked in their marinas. She is built to EC-RCD (Recreational Craft Standards) and CE certified and was modified so all saloon and cabins are a minimum of 2.25 meters in height to avoid head accidents.

She was designed by American designer Kurt Hughes and built by boat builders in Thailand. The build was supervised by UK naval architect and engineer Paul Shannon. She is registered under the Cyprus flag, with VAT fully paid.

Isokratia is a strongly built, all-weather boat that can sail into any weather. Currently she is used for family holidays, two to four months every year, sailing the Greek waters, and then she retreats every winter to a dry dock in a marina near Athens airport. She can be inspected and surveyed any time.

Two new Volvo Penta D2-75 diesel turbo engines were fitted in May 2022, with new engine control motherboards, and new hydraulic steering tubes and cylinders.

She has double helm stations and Raymarine navigation aids. Twin remote-controlled bow thrusters are fitted.

Safety gear includes life rafts and fire extinguishers. There are spare parts for the engines, a large collection of tools, fishing rods, bed linens, blankets, life jackets, and towels.

A watermaker provides 92 liters per hour. Air conditioning is installed in each of the four main cabins and a more powerful unit in the saloon.

The dinghy outboard setup includes two Yamaha 15 hp outboards, one new in August 2022. Diving jackets and cylinders are included.

A rear hydraulic expandable boarding ladder is fitted. Fuel and water tanks provide substantial capacity.

Electricity is 220 V plus 12 V for equipment.

Sail handling is managed by stainless steel Antal winches, with all control lines led back to the cockpit. The single-line reefing system allows reefing from the cockpit, an important safety consideration. The winches are electric for ease of handling, particularly if shorthanded.

Sails include a fully battened main, a furling genoa, a high-cut Yankee, a gennaker, and a storm jib.

The owner is selling her due to age.

There are two double cabins, one king, and one queen-size cabin (the queen cabin can convert to two single beds), plus two single cabins for crew or storage. There are four en-suite heads with showers (three electric WCs and one manual) in the main hulls, plus two manual WCs for the single crew cabins.

The mast and boom were built by Matrix Mast of New Zealand, a modern design. The 24-meter aluminum mast has swept-back spreaders and is supported by shrouds attached to solid 316 stainless steel chain plates embedded in solid fiberglass. There are no cracks. The side rails are 90 cm high, stainless steel.

Internal floors and cabin side panels are real teak. Equipment includes anchor chain and anchors, spare parts, and additional gear.
